Dream Villa!  Andrea B. Sept 2024 Although Ernesto came sweeping in during our stay, we didn’t let that dampen our good times! Astral Villa is like something out of a dream! The views are outstanding, almost surreal, and the design of the property allows guests privacy while also having the ability to gather together for meals, games, and fun in and around the pool. The close proximity to Coral Bay is also a huge plus, as it doesn’t take long to shoot down to the markets on the main drag. The beaches like Trunk, Cinnamon, and Maho are not too far away, and you can stop at Colombo’s for a coffee/smoothie on the way! Astral Villa is a special place that we won’t ever forget. Comfortable, clean, and surrounded by nature. It’s hard to go back to normal sleep after having the frogs and company serenade you to dreamland! Special shoutout to Claudia and company for helping us through the tropical storm! Above and beyond! We will be back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ASTRAL VILLA. 6 stars out of 5!

A Slice of Heaven Jaye W July 2024 After unfortunate delays, our family finally made it to Astral Villa for the Fourth of July week. On arrival, the property was lush, the villa looked just what we hoped it would. Then we went to the patio edge overlooking Coral Bay. The stunning view made all of us silent. What followed was a week of relaxation, family bonding, and discovery of another beautiful place that is part of our country.
We looked for an accommodation closer to a beach but landed on Astral Villa high above Coral Bay. We had to load up to head to the water, but that was a blessing. We explored over ten beaches during our stay, some crowded, some less so. Retreating to Astral Villa after each day in the sun, the solitude and quiet was something we relished.
The villa is very well appointed with everything from nice linens to dinnerware. The grounds are the way an island garden should look. Each bedroom is perfectly private with polished bathrooms.

St. John – A little Paradise Lester and Grace P June 2024 We just came back after spending whole week on St. John in Astral Villa. What a location! The views are simply breathtaking. The villa is very cozy, equipped with all conveniences. Surrounded by amazing tropical garden. Even though the island has so much to offer, spending time at villa was treat by itself.

Paradise with a view Sacha May 2024 Astral Villa was absolutely perfect for us group of 5 friends (2 couples, one single)! Each couple or individual had their own private suite with breathtaking views over the bay, and even when some USVI-related power outages hit on the first day, the breeze from being at the top of the hill and the swimming pool kept us cool. The house is extremely well-apportioned, with all the kitchen gadgets, guide books, games, puzzles, and sound systems you could need. The local artwork in every room is a really nice touch, and the villa is literally surrounded by flowers of every shape and color, transporting you into a private garden of eden.

Most beautiful view Jane R Mar 2024 The view from every patio, window and porch is stunning! The kitchen is well equipped and grocery store is close by at the base of the hill. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding and linens fresh and nice quality. The interactions with host and property manager were prompt, pleasant and helpful. The instructions prior to stay were clear and made the stay go smoothly. The drive to the villa requires 4wd. We had a Ford Explorer to fit our group but would have been easier in a Jeep. Recommend the Jeep rental if possible.

Came for the 8 Tuff – what a beautiful place! Theodora M Mar 2024 Astral Villa is spectacular – it is beautifully designed and decorated – we absolutely loved it. Getting there is an adventure – but that’s true for most really beautiful places. This was our first time staying on Coral Bay and we loved it. You definitely need a Jeep to get around, but there are plenty of local restaurants and markets that are close by (Johnny Lime’s, Pizza in Paradise, Skinny Legs etc.) We also discovered Francis Bay and Hansen Bay this trip – two beautiful beaches that are worth a visit. We had a chef come cook dinner at our villa two nights – that was really special. It’s such a gorgeous location – having dinner cooked for us at the Villa was really a treat. I loved the open air design of the villa and having the communal area to gather in. We will definitely be back – Astral Villa is a special place!

Perfect week in Coral Bay Teresa M Feb 2024 Astral Villa was by far the most beautiful property we have ever been lucky enough to vacation at. The views were spectacular, the house was open-air, understated and beautiful — a perfect island retreat. We loved the separate bedrooms, with a large living, dining and kitchen area to spend time together. The house was super clean, and the kitchen really well appointed. It was also great to have the market right at the end of the street, and a sufficient number of restaurants nearby that we could eat on our way home from the beaches. Both the hostess and the property manager were incredibly helpful before, during and after our stay. The only problem was that eventually we had to leave! We would stay again in a heart beat. Thank you, thank you!

Beautiful Villa Beverly G Jan 2024 We totally enjoyed our stay in this total open air Villa. The view is unbeatable and the gardens around the Villa are the prettiest. We also loved the hermit crabs and geckos and iguanas. We fondly called it our Treehouse Villa. Bob was helpful and prompt without feeling intrusive. This Villa is tastefully decorated. We were very comfortable no matter where we relaxed on this property. Would highly recommend this villa.

Amazing! Toni T Dec 2023 Absolutely amazing! Pictures do not capture the beauty of Astral Villa. Our family of six had the best time. The natural beauty is breathtaking. There is so much to do in this little pocket of paradise. We hiked Rams head, chartered a boat to snorkel in remote areas, snorkeled/swam at the local beaches with evenings enjoying open mic at nearby restaurants. Although that being said, we could have stayed at Astral Villa with the spectacular views, space to relax and read, two kitchens, hot tub and pool. The spacious accommodations are magnificent, impeccably clean, with attention to details you can’t help but appreciating -all you could need and more. First class all the way!! Thanks for an unforgettable vacation!

Amazing place Nanda D Dec 2023 Our stay at Astral Villa was amazing. Morning sunrises are spectacular, as is watching the moon rise in the evening. We stargazed from the hot tub. It feels like you’re in your own secluded Caribbean paradise, with buildings surrounded by nature. The kitchen is very well stocked and there are countless details from the stonework, to the hammocks that elevate this property. I miss it already! Thank you for letting us stay.

Beautiful, tranquil villa Darryl F Oct 2023 Our stay at Astral Villa was wonderful! Beautiful settings of three suites with unique views. A pool at perfect temperature to cool off and two hot tubs for night-time star gazing. They have all amenities that you could ever need and there is a great grocery store right down the hill. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to come back again

Amazing 8 nights w family on St John in a beautiful villa w breathtaking ocean views Linda H Apr 2023 This was our 3rd visit to St John and first time staying in Coral Bay. The villa was beautiful, set up perfectly for my family of 2 adult children (29 and 27), fiancee and boyfriend. My husband and I stayed in the main master bedroom and the “kids” stayed in the other 2 bedrooms. I loved the layout of 3 buildings, privacy if anyone wants it and lots of together time at the pool/patio.
The kitchen was well stocked w everything you need. Plenty of napkins, paper towels, soap, Saran Wrap, foil, ziplock bags, coffee filters, you name it, they had it! Every gadget in the drawers and closet you would ever need to live in the kitchen forever!
The pool and hot tubs where wonderful to come home to after a day at the beach. I am not a morning person but I got up all but 1 morning to see an amazing sunrise and enjoy a cup of coffee w just myself and the hummingbirds.
Beach towels, chairs and noodles and even a shade tent was for ours to use. 2 beach chairs broke during our stay (same day, minutes apart) and we had replacement chairs by the end of the day.
Astral villa was the perfect villa for our family vacation. We can’t wait to come back to the island!

Endless views of paradise in luxury accommodations Kristin M Apr 2023 Neither words nor pictures can express how beautiful the views of Coral Bay and the surrounding islands are from every deck, room and patio of this property. The spaces are very private, comfortable, and well appointed. Everything you could want in a luxury stay in paradise is available at Astral Villa. And it’s all just a drive away from all of the amazing beaches St. John has to offer. Our family of adults and teenagers would return to Astral Villa without hesitation.

Wonderful Stay in Paradise Katie F March 2023 We had a fantastic family trip at Astral Villa! It was beautiful, peaceful and a ton of fun. We loved being on the quieter Coral Bay side of the island, but activities (Lime Out, dinghy rental, hikes and beaches), as well as the market, were very close and accessible. Please note that it is open air, which was a little challenging for our “lock the doors at night” family, and the drive up is a bit white-knuckle the first couple times. It’s completely worth it for the lovely, peaceful stay!

Gorgeous Open Air Villa with Stunning Views Jason L Feb 2023 We stayed at the Astral Villa for one week in February for a family vacation (5 adults). With the three large bedrooms with individual bathrooms we had plenty of privacy. The common space kitchen/living area was perfect for dinner and hanging out. Numerous patios, sitting areas, hot tubs x2, pool, and the large dining table made socializing easy. Everything was incredibly clean and the gardens well manicured. The place came with bluetooth speakers for indoors and out. The kitchen was well stocked. The Weber gas grill was well maintained and came with nice grilling utensils. We grilled the catch of the day (grouper, mahi, etc.) from the Calabash market for multiple dinners. The property has no other houses around it and is incredibly private. There were a ton of hummingbirds, bananaquits, iguanas, and hermit crabs around the property – very cool. The house comes with coolers, ice packs, beach chairs, towels, and tents for a perfect beach day. As per the description, the road up to the property and driveway are steep, but our 4×4 SUV handled it quite well. The owner and property manager were very responsive. The property manager will meet you on arrival and show you around the Villa. He is incredibly responsive and helped coordinate our provisioning order. We highly recommend this property and will come back!

Stunning views, beautifully situated with every convenience Mary M Dec 2022 Astral may be the all around best villa we’ve found in 30 years of coming to St John. It has all the comforts of home nestled in the rain forest, amidst tropical breezes mature garden and simply stunning views out every window. It’s close to Coral Bay town with easy access to some of most interesting snorkeling and diving the island has to offer. After a day in the sun it was so nice to come home to drinks in the expansive patio and a dip in the pool. After dinner found us heading for the hot tubs to watch a star and planet filled sky unpolluted by lights. Astral was perfect for a family with grown sons. Plenty of space for family time and alone time. Memorable in all respects!

Off the beaten path paradise! Gray Family Oct 2022 We came to Astral Villa as complete newbies to the Caribbean! We had highly anticipated our 2 weeks in USVI St John and Astral Villa, and the experience even exceeded our expectations! Claudia was extremely helpful in answering our questions and accommodating us while we were preparing for our trip and Bob the property manager who lives locally was an excellent host. We had three generations staying in the villa, from ages 6 to 70+! we took in the amazing scenery daily and loved the pool and hot tubs. The privacy is second to none, like our own Shangri-La. Remember to keep an adventurous spirit the first time you drive here, it’s part of the charm. 😉 For the privacy of the house and pool alone, we want to come back! Last but not least, we really love how the villa had so many personal touches, from our interactions with the owner and property manager, to the high end kitchen supplies, to the bananaquit birdfeeders, to books about USVI on the bookshelves, to the decorations in each room. We felt like we were visiting an extremely well-cared-for home, not a corporate property. Highly recommend staying here. Please take care of this beautiful home as you would your own so others can continue to enjoy! It’s a true gem.

View of Paradise Meena K Jun 2022 We had an absolutely magical time at Astral villa for our family vacation in June. The 270 degree view, during the day/night of full moon rising, is unbelievable and pictures can not do it justice! The villas are beautifully constructed and were equipped with everything we needed, and more! We had breakfast daily at the villa with the hummingbirds and gorgeous views, and then packed up the beach chairs and cooler (all provided at the house) and went to a different beach/snorkel site daily. For dinner, Rhumb line and Skinny legs were amazing. But the best, was the Calabash market at the end of the driveway that had excellent marinated meat/fish to grill. Take him up on his offer to spice the meat! Great market. The drive is a bit hairy, but you get used to it. Rent a jeep. The caretaker lives down the drive and was incredibly responsive.
We cannot wait to return!!

Paradise!! Rob H. March 2022 We stayed at Astral Villa for a week with our two teenagers (13 and 15) and it was perfect. The villa is very private. You cannot see or hear neighbors, cars etc., and the views are surreal. The villa’s layout was perfect for us. Everyone had their own space, but we could also be together in the common areas for dining, laying out, swimming in the pool, etc. The property was in fantastic condition and was well-appointed. The location is also perfect. Just a few minute drive to beaches and dining options in Coral Bay. Bob, the property manager, was also very kind and accommodating. He checked in on us as needed and even loaned us a piano for my son, who can’t be without one. All of us agreed that we’ll be returning to Astral Villa! I can’t recommend it enough.

Absolutely Amazing! John L. March 2022 Our stay at the Astral Villa was absolutely amazing! From pre-booking to our stay we can’t complement this property enough! Claudia was so responsive in any questions we had and Bob, the caretaker, was so helpful! Our flight was delayed a bit and we got in later than expected. It was so nice to be able to walk into the Villa with everything ready for us. When you see pictures online you think “it can’t be that great!”. Well, let me tell you, the pictures didn’t do this property justice! We can’t wait until we can come and stay again! The beauty of the view, the flowers, the wildlife and the privacy were top notch! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

Panoramic views of paradise from all angles Deanna J. February 2022 Astral Villa is amazing from the top of the driveway steps all the way down and all around! We were blown away by the beautiful landscaping throughout making it feel extra lush and tropical. The sounds of birds at sunrise, the little lizards and occasional iguana strolling out as the sun warmed the patio, and the family of hermit crabs “blocking” the pass throughs between the buildings. The furnishings throughout were very comfortable and well thought out. We wanted for nothing. The book selection throughout the buildings was a treat! So was the complimentary access to the liquor shelf ;). We started each day with sunrise over one of the nearby islands, slow drinking coffee, then drifting into a new beach later each morning. The chairs and cooler provided were brand new and an appreciated touch. The late afternoon return to Astral Villa brought with it a tropical glow with the sun dropping behind the backside of the villa mountaintop. We enjoyed evening cocktails dancing to the music playing from the living room speakers while cooking up delicious dinners. Everywhere you look in Astral Villa is breathtaking. Every view is an amazing view! We are so thankful to have found such a beautiful and well-appointed place to share!

Amazing Ryan W. February 2022 Astral is without question the best travel experience I have had in years. The view is stunning and truly unbeatable. The villa is constructed in a way that all rooms have beautiful views, balconies/porches, private bathrooms, and seating areas. The furnishings are very comfortable and all necessary amenities are there – great kitchen (and even a second kitchen), BBQ, pool, and two spas. It is also incredibly private – we never saw or heard another person around villa for our entire stay. Both Claudia and Bob were great to work with and Bob was always immediately available for any questions. I fully anticipate returning to Astral in the future and would HIGHLY recommend it to family and friends without reservation.

Peaceful, quiet and amazing views! Lisa M. January 2022 We arrived late to the Villa but Bob, property manager, had snacks and drinks for us when we got there. We were to tired to go out and everything closed at 8pm so it meant a lot he went the extra mile for us. He was very helpful and answered our questions and suggested many things as well. He was an added bonus for sure. Villa had the most amazing views. Everything was provided, even the sunscreen. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the bird food they provided for all the birds. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. I would recommend this Villa to family and friends. Thanks to Claudia and Bob for everything. Thanks for an amazing week.

Paradise in St. John Sam and Crystal F. December 2021 The villa is perfection, they have thought of every detail! They added little touches such as robes in every bedroom, more than enough lounge chairs, beach towels, just perfect! I can’t imagine there is a better view on the island, it is breathtaking and I just couldn’t get enough of it! We are planning on making this an annual trip and can’t wait to go back to St John and beautiful Astral Villa!!!

Amazing villa, pristine views Shamus F. December 2021 Hard to believe that the photos and virtual tour don’t do the villa justice, but that is the truth. The views are remarkable and the villa(s) are fully equipped with luxury amenities. From the appliances to linens, everything is high end. There are three separate sleeping quarters and our family of five (kids are 15,13 and 9) fit perfectly into the space. You are completely isolated so we had no concerns about them sleeping across the property (20 yards away). The villa is a challenge to get to (up a hillside) especially at night but the challenge is part of the St. John experience. We will be back.

Island luxury at its finest! Whelan Family August 2021 Astral villa is one of those places that pictures simply cannot do justice! Our family of 4 adults and one 6 month old baby had an absolutely wonderful stay. Perched high up overlooking Coral Bay, the stunning views coupled with beautiful indoor and outdoor living spaces make this villa truly special. The layout works beautifully for families with young children. The kitchen comes fully equipped for cooking. As others have said, driving is doable but certainly not for the faint of heart!

Beautiful Property – Nice Week Leslie W. July 2021 This property is just gorgeous and the unique layout makes is great for 3 couples or family to have their own space. It is nice to have 2 kitchen areas for morning coffee or just to have some personal space. There are lots of places to hide away in the shade and just watch the horizon and listen to the sounds of the islands. At night the island sounds are everywhere. The chirping geckos and frogs can be heard for miles. The owners pay very special attention to the details and everywhere you turn you can see these little special touches. Upon arrival, it was nice to have a bag of ice and some libations on the shelf for getting settled (we contributed to the shelf upon departure) From the beach towels, chairs, available cooler for the beach to the plush villa linens, nice galley gear, spices and the weber grill… all special touches. The outdoor showers are awesome particularly with a summer visit. This property is high up on the mountain with spectacular views down island and of Coral Bay. The summer colors are spectacular sitting on the patio. The small natural pool is a nice touch to be able to stay cool. This property is “ENTIRELY ALFRESCO” There is no air conditioning anywhere on the property and no glass in the windows but all openings have screens (some sunshades) and some have drop curtains to keep the rain out. Every room has awesome ceiling fans. We experienced no bug problems even though we were here in the heat of the summer (first week in Aug) Those of us who frequent the islands know this is the start of the hottest time of the year so I was a bit concerned about the heat factor. After a pretty warm & still first night the villa host brought down some extra fans which helped. I will say if you have some “artic sleepers” in your group they will not be comfortable here particularly in the summer and shoulder months. I personally enjoyed the open fresh air feeling and with the pool and steady breeze to cool off during the day it was lovely. The main house was always cool with a great breeze and great for congregating. The ride up the mountain requires a 4WD/AWD or at the very least a FWD with good power. It is partially paved/ partially rocky road with steep inclines. After you do it a couple of times it is not as intimidating for sure and certainly worth the trek up the mountain. I loved having the Calabash market at the bottom of the hill, while i would not suggest walking up and down the mountain it is very close and obviously has better quality product We got Ribeyes and chicken breast for the grill there… to die for. While they don’t have everything you may want you could certainly outfit every meal for week from here and if not the Dolphin market just a bit farther up the road. The owners and the host were great, accommodating and easy to find when needed.

Breathtaking views made for amazing vacation! Leah H. July 2021 My husband and I just returned from a week in St John, USVI! We stayed at Astral Villa. It was amazing!!! Our private villa was on the side of a mountain with breathtaking views. It has a private pool and hot tub, full kitchen, comfy bed in master suite, and 2 other bedroom suites if needed (it was just the 2 of us). It was clean, very well appointed, and really had everything we could even think of needing (body wash, extra bug spray, sunscreen, beach towels, beach chairs, filtered water….everything! Claudia, the owner was very responsive prior to the trip via email, and the property manager was very helpful as well. This was also our first time to St John. We flew into St Thomas, rented a Jeep, and took the car ferry over to St. John. St John is a national park, so there was a ton of hiking and beaches to explore! The water was crystal clear and calm. It was perfect for snorkeling and SUP’s. St John is doing a great job with masking. They required a negative covid test there, but since US territory, no test to get back. Masks were required in all public places (and people followed those requirements)! You definitely need a Jeep to drive around, the roads are STEEP!!! I highly recommend St John and Astral Villa!!

Best place in paradise! The Wrobels July 2021 We absolutely loved spending a week with our daughters at this villa. Loved the open concept, being close to nature from every corner of every room, the beautiful landscape and of course the stunning view. We appreciated all the amenities provided too, everything was very well thought out. Coral Bay is the perfect spot to relax away from crowds and the usual tourist hub-bub yet only a quick drive away from the most beautiful beaches. Highly recommend staying close by at Salt Pond Bay for great snorkeling. Planning already our next trip!

The Only Place We Want To Stay on St. John Jason C. May 2021 It’s really hard to find the right words to describe our week at Astral Villa. Incredible, amazing, and plenty more adjectives of great don’t do it justice. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary on St. John, the same place we went on our honeymoon. We wanted to do things differently this trip, villa instead of resort, jeep instead of taxis, Coral Bay instead of Cruz Bay. We were not ready for how incredible Astral Villa would be. The pictures look amazing, but then you get there and Bob walks you around, and you have to pinch yourself. Completely secluded with beautiful views, we do not want to stay anywhere else when we come back. Claudia was so responsive to all our questions and Bob was a great resource for the island as he welcomed us and showed us around the villa. The week went by way too fast, but the pictures and memories will have to hold us over until our next trip. We love St. John and already are planning our return, but we know there is only one place we will be staying from here on out. Thanks Claudia and family for sharing the villa with us, can’t wait to come back!

Breathtaking Ruchir T. January 2021 Nestled up in Calabash boom, Astral Ridge is the cream of the crop of villas in the Coral Bay Area. The views are just breathtaking. The amenities are top notch. The hospitality by Robert McNabb was amazing. The nightly moon rise/star gazing was just spectacular. The winds/breeze made you wonder why someone would not want to live in St. John forever. This villa checked off on all of what we were looking for and more. We couldn’t be happier to have spent 6 nights including New Years at this villa. My wife and I are convinced that there isn’t a place that could top off this visit (6th) to St. John primarily because of our stay at Astral Ridge. We were very happy with our stay would recommend this place with full endorsement.

Awesome Experience Nick L. February 2020 Astral Ridge was a lovely place to stay, and we had a wonderful time. Would recommend unreservedly. The views are spectacular from everywhere (including the hot tub where we spent a lot of time!) the place itself is beautifully designed and looked after, and the location is nice. It’s enough off the beaten track that you get away from the tourists, but close enough to things to still be convenient (there’s a market place about half a mile away for instance). Bob the caretaker was super helpful, set us up with a nice all day sailing outing, and when we had trouble one day with the internet going out he came by the very same day and replaced the router! Really can’t say enough good things about this place.

Fantastic vacation in magical location! Rachel A. January 2019 Our party of 6 (3 couples) had an amazing time vacationing on St. John and staying at the Villa. We loved having the open air feel, separated bedroom quarters, 2 hot tubs, a cooling off pool, and phenomenal views! Bob on site was great. Bob even recommended Harmony Charters for a sailboat outing which was fantastic!! We have stayed on St. John before and this was definitely our favorite villa/location along with the best people to work with. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!

Perfect Spot Stephanie December 2018 Astral Ridge is an absolutely perfect spot. It has the most amazing view. It’s a gorgeous house with a lot of space, three beautiful bedrooms, two hot tubs, and a small pool. My family of 4 felt like we were in the lap of luxury. It was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Wifi worked great. We loved the east end of the island, which is quieter, and more low-key than Cruz Bay. The beaches in the area are beautiful and less crowded than those on the west end, and there are a number of great restaurants in the neighborhood.
